Returning to the land
Welcome to the ranch! We are a family owned and operated ranch dedicated to regenerative land management techniques to increase the biodiversity of the soil. We are actively involved in native grass programs, researching environmental relationships between wildlife, forestry and domestic livestock and ecotourism. Chahta Isuba Ranch has teamed up with organizations and individuals that are dedicated to preserving the Native American Horse. It is our belief that through strong partnerships, we can secure a sustainable and fruitful future for both the ponies and the people who love them.

The fate of our world will depend on sustainable farming. Our family has been active in conservation efforts for more than 25 years. We plan to post some of our projects and updates here.

Wisdom
We are learning how to relate human ecology and ecosystems, using science along with the ancient knowledge of our elders. We must respect and protect the environment to secure a future for mankind. Join the quest for wisdom!

Stories
The ranch and surrounding Kaimichi wilderness is full of stories. Some are historical, some are hysterical and some are just hard to believe!

Wild Horses

Our ranch is currently home to some of the Oklahoma Heritage Horses owned by Bryant and Darlene Rickman.
